North of Ilulissat, an imposing ferry took us to the foot of the glacier, weaving its way between icebergs and growlers.
Then, almost without warning, she took the helm.
A young Scandinavian, a calm silhouette in the dim light of the bridge, guiding this mass of steel through the ice. The scene had something unexpected and yet obvious about it.
A person in their place. Or rather, this time, a woman.
