The rain had just stopped, leaving the forest in an almost sacred calm. Between the trunks, the light slid gently, tracing its path through the humidity still hanging in the air.

On the branches, a fragile whiteness seemed to have settled, like a snow that does not exist. One dared not make a sound, so inhabited did the silence seem.
