The colored posts mark the way like a metronome. That’s all. Sometimes, headlights appear on the horizon. Who are they? Where are they going? And then nothing.
There are days in Iceland when the landscape offers you nothing but this: just the road, just the rain, just the texture of the damp air. And that is enough.
