At the start of the Haute Route between Chamonix and Zermatt, the Drus appeared and then disappeared behind the clouds. For a few brief moments, a fleeting light struck the granite face as a bird of prey crossed the scene. A legendary mountain, enveloped in an almost unreal atmosphere, where the silence seemed as dense as the clouds.
